Looking for fun and free events for your family? We can help you! First Five Hawaiʻi is proud to share information about free events happening all over the state, from educational workshops to family-friendly activities. These events are made to help your child grow and learn, and help families connect with their communities.
The Puna PreK Play Day provides a joyful day for keiki to engage in active play, explore creativity, and develop essential literacy, math, and social skills through fun-filled activities like games, arts and crafts, and storytelling.

Keiki Time is a family-friendly literacy event at Pearlridge Center presented with Read To Me International Foundation. The program gives keiki and their caregivers an opportunity to enjoy reading and literacy-focused activities together while encouraging a lifelong love of books and reading aloud. Read To Me International regularly hosts Keiki Time as part of its community literacy outreach.

Celebrate Hawaiʻi’s keiki and families at the annual Hawaiʻi Children and Youth Day! This free, family-friendly event brings together community organizations, activities, entertainment and resources focused on supporting the health, well-being and success of children and youth across Hawaiʻi.

Toddler Time is a free community program at Kahala Mall hosted in partnership with Read To Me International Foundation and My Treehouse Club. It gives toddlers and their caregivers a welcoming, safe space to enjoy fun, educational activities together, including experiences that encourage early literacy and a love of reading. Read To Me International’s participation supports its broader mission of promoting the love and joy of reading aloud to children, helping build vocabulary, language development, and strong caregiver-child connections.
